Our Team

Dr. Terri DeWeert
Terri was raised in Santa Rosa, California. She attended The University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 1988.
While in veterinary school, Terri completed two fellowships: M.I.T. and The Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania. Upon graduation, Terri did a residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, studying Comparative Medicine. While working in the field of Comparative Medicine, Dr. Terri was published 3 times in major veterinary journals.
In 1993, Terri married her husband Dan, and she joined Valley Veterinary Clinic. She has enjoyed raising her family in the valley and living in this beautiful area. In her spare time, Terri enjoys spending time with her friends and family, outdoor sports, gardening, cooking, and riding her horses. In particular, she enjoys the sport of cow cutting!
Dr. Terri’s community service:
- Cub Scout Leader
- 4-H Pig Leader
- Member of the Vocational Advisory Committee to the high school
- Member of the Community Accountability Board
Colleen Storms – Veterinary Technician
Colleen earned her Veterinary Technician degree in 1975 and worked in the field for five years. She started accounting courses to assist that veterinary clinic and ended up with a new career as an accountant.
After 24 years as a governmental Finance Director, Colleen retired and got to play full time with dogs again. She and her husband Mike enjoy dog showing and training and having the occasional litter of Mini American puppies.
As a long-time accountant, friend, and client of Dr. DeWeert she jumps into her vet tech role to aid in training new staff when needed. And loves it!

Green – Veterinary Assistant
While her main work has been with horses, Green grew up with dogs and cats and started volunteering for the local humane society when she was a youth. She also volunteered for a year with the Birds of Prey program at the Oregon Zoo.
After high school graduation, Green lived in Guatemala for a year, volunteering at a cat and dog rescue as well as a sea turtle hatchery. She then volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation facility near Tumwater, WA for a year while working at the railroad in Tacoma.
Over the course of her life, Green personally owned and cared for a wide variety of species, both pets and livestock. She enjoys learning about – and takes seriously – animal behavior, nutrition, and other science in order to provide the best care possible.

Christina Cline – Veterinary Assistant
Christina grew up in Seattle, graduated from the University of Washington, and lived in Abbotsford, BC, before moving to the Methow Valley in 2014.
A farrier of 25 years, Christina was the president of the American Hoof Association, the co-author of The Essential Hoof Book, and currently a mentor for both Progressive Hoof Care Practitioners and Equine Sciences Academy.
Her love for cats and dogs is equal to her love of horses, and she joined the Valley Veterinary team part time to help serve the smaller animals in the community.
In her free time, Christina enjoys hiking, cross country skiing, and trail riding – usually with her canine companions joining in these activities as well.
Laurie Buzzard – Receptionist
Methow Valley born and raised between Twisp and Winthrop on a 525-acre ranch, Laurie’s family ran range cattle and had the usual complement of other critters: horses, pigs, chickens, dogs and cats.
Laurie graduated from Twisp High School just before it consolidation with Winthrop. In the 1970s she married and raised three amazing sons in the Methow Valley – now including grandkids.
Laurie has worked many jobs in the last 50 years, most notably for 3 years on the Bering Sea as a cook for 200 people on a 680-foot Surimi processor. She also worked for OK Cascades for 10 years doing mobile catering all over the country.
After 40+ years of caregiving, Laurie semi-retired and started working at Valley Veterinary Clinic.

Ellie ” The Official Greeter”
This little Girl joined the Valley Veterinary Clinic Team in winter 2017. Her sweet disposition helps all the pets coming in to feel at ease, and she sure loves getting all the extra attention.
